Resolved Question: What are the 2 beaches along the Oregon coast I should stay at?

After staying in Portland for three nights, my sister and I are going to spend four days on the coast. We were thinking starting in Astoria/Cannon Beach then driving down to Coos Bay. Basically we'll stay two nights at one beach, spend all day driving the coast to our next beach where we'll stay two nights. We've never really seen the ocean. On our drive we will make stops to play and soak up the surroundings, but which two beaches would you say we should STAY at? We'd like to see beautiful sights and do some of the things the coast is known for (i.e. sea lion cave) but I think for one of the stays we'd also like a sandy beach where we could walk/cycle and just sit with a cold one.
